So it's official I am now a member of the Murray School District Board of Education! I was sworn in by Sherri Swenson Wednesday night, I was glad that the three of us (Laura Baker and Darrell Pehrson) were sworn in together, it took away some of the pressure. My parents and Jeremiah and the kids were there and my first Board meeting was great. I have already spent a lot of time with the Board, we have been to a 3 day convention and had 2 legislative meetings. I was worried about how I would be accepted, the new/younger/beat the incumbent, gal on the block, but they have been wonderful! I am so excited to do work with Superintendent Tranter and this great group of people. The amount of knowledge I have already gained is amazing and I can't wait for more. Murray is an awesome place to live and my respect for the people who work in the District grows each day. So I say... BRING IT ON!!!
