Time for Valentine's Crafts...

Elisabeth and I are "little" obsessed with Pinterest and crafting.  Time for Valentine's crafting.  We had the young women over for and unofficial activity to make these blocks, so fun!

It's Winter...

This winter is turning into a whopper, snow, freezing tempertures, days of snow and freezing rain.  I had never experienced freezing rain, driving in it was horrible!

Let's Go Toilet Papering...

This funny little guy got his own toilet paper to blow his nose, but then decided to just make a mess!  Elisabeth and I should have probably stopped him, but we were laughing to hard! He unrolled about half a roll before we stopped him.

Blue Skies are Calling...

The boys are really getting into snowshoeing. Especially when the air is SOOO bad in the valley, they love the clear air and warmer tempatures.

Best Brother Ever...

So somehow, or another, after our attempt to meet Aaron Rodgers, this is what I got for my birthday from my brother!

Time for the Red Rocks...

Our Red Rocks opened their season with a four team meet and came out victorious!  The girls giggled their way through the whole meet!

Stand Ye In Holy Places?

The theme for the youth of our ward this year is Stand Ye In Holy Places, we have already talked with the girls a lot about what this means and how they can make any place they are a good place to be for themselves and others.  Tonight we had a beautiful New Beginnings program where we celebrated the Young Women's program and welcomed in the two girls who will turn 12 this year.

Go MHS...

This year Elisabeth was the oldest girl at cheer camp.  She enjoys having school spirit and she met our next door neighbors nieces and had fun being with them.  Both my kids are excited to be Spartans!

*Sigh*

So I got a text from my favorite big brother Chad during school board meeting, this is what is it said:

"Aaron Rodgers will be at our store tomorrow at 11:10 to borrow a car for Sundance weekend.  He will take pictures with you if u want :).  Who's your favorite bro now???

I answered:

"Oh my gosh!!! You are my favorite person ever!!!! My kids are even out of school.  We will be there."

So I tried to concentrate during my meetings, and Elisabeth cried when Jeremiah told her and we were all jazzed.  We got out to the Dodge store right before 11:00 to wait, well we waited and waited. Stockton was there and wore one of our jerseys, unfortunately a whole bunch of people showed up. We did have priority but I guess he got word that there was a mob and was behind so stopped for lunch.  And then went straight to a premeer, anyways on and on.  We waited and waited, I did work, Jeremiah did work and the kids were happy to be with Stockton.  We ordered lunch waited somemore and about 4:30 we got word he wouldn't be coming.  Long story short we're not sure if it was for sure from the beginning, one of Chad's guys had made the arrangements, and we probably won't ever know.  Oh well, here's to wishful thinking.

Bummer...

We all got decked out and ready for the big game Saturday, Green Bay v. San Francisco and we were even crazy  enough to invite a few 49ers fans.  We had yummy food and good laughs, but unfortunately our team must have missed the bus they played so poorly!  Oh well, on to next year.  The best part of the evening may have been when the kids taught Aubrey to cheer "Go Pack Go!" and Elisabeth even got her to put a jersey on, I thought RJ might disown her!

USBA...

For three VERY snow days we treked downtown for the Utah School Board Association annual conference.  It was totally worth it, my classes were so good this year! And the speakers were great too.  It was a busy year for me, I was nominated to be legislative delegate for our region, won a cool weekend in Moab and the biggest thing was being elected to the Utah High School Activities Assoication Board of Trustees.  I will be one of only three women, and the other two are ladies who I met at new board member training two years ago.  I love my job serving the students of Utah, and I want the very best for them!

Fireplace...

Maybe it is normal to be obsessed with fire when your dad is a fire fighter but I'm not sure?  But Truscott definitely  is, he made "he's" cupboard into a fireplace and put everything he could find in to "burn."  I love my days with him!

Roast your bad habits...

Last week I had the Young Women to my house to "roast" their bad habits in the fire pit and then share a yummy hot cocoa bar.  I love visiting with these girls and it was fun to just sit around and talk.

Oh my...

We are so happy to have Elisabeth running around with Jenna again, I had almost forgotten how funny they are together!

"But I got a little bit scared..."

Adrian thought it was pretty awesome Jordan put him up on the the fridge... until he realized "but I a little scared!"  Later he told his Papa about it, even the scared part.

Winter Crafts...

I loved making this, i'm not sure I love how it turned out, but it's growing on me.

Snowshoeing Saturday...

The boys decided to try a new adventure and went snowshoeing.  They had a great time hiking to Donut Falls, apparently there a few things i'm not being told about that happened too.

Afterwards, they went to Rose Tea Garden for Thai food.  Apparently Joe and Matt put up some cash so that Sam would try some spicey thing, and yup he did it, but had to chase it down with a lot of water.
