Evening of Excellence...
Ours girls did a beautiful job singing at the Stake Evening of Excellence, even with a little snapfo with the music. Elisabeth also spoke and she had a great talk written, but when the girl before gave pretty much the same talk I got worried. But she pulled it off like a champ and just did it on the fly.
Here is Elisabeth's talk...
Young Women in Excellence
Hi, I’m Elisabeth and I am from the 25th ward. At the beginning of the year our young women set a BIG goal. We wanted to perform 1200 baptisms for the dead by 12-12-12. That gave us less than 12 months, we had a lot of work to do. Each week we kept track of our goal by putting a bead in this jar for each ordinance we performed that week, sometimes it felt like it would never be full, but then the last few months it has gone really quick.
Twice a month we met at 5:20 in the morning, so that we could get to the Jordan River Temple and be back to school on time. It was dark and cold many mornings. But we noticed that even though it was hard to get up, once you were up it felt great and it was a really great way to start your day. We also traveled as a group to Manti and Logan to perform baptisms at those Temples. Some of us even went on our own and with our families.
Did we do it you ask? Yup! Two weeks ago on a beautiful windy morning we met our goal, in fact we even did some extras. It was awesome. Some of things I loved about going to the Temple, were being with the girls in our Ward, I also loved the friendly Temple workers. My favorite part though was thinking about the people we were doing work for and how long many of them had been waiting, I am sure they were rejoicing.
Temples are a wonderful place and I am glad we have so many near to us. I am grateful that we could do work for the dead and that I will be able to do my own work someday.
In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Couch Time...
Awww... much needed couch time with Joe and Randi. The boys checked out some new game that is coming out, we had some yummy Mexican food for dinner and then the girls made Thanksgiving crafts that turned out so cute!
Rodizio's...
We took the kids for a special treat yesterday afternoon, they've always wanted to try Rodizio grill so off we went with empty bellies. They loved it, especially the grilled pineapple.
Mardi Gras...
Elisabeth celebrated Mardi Gras in her french class. She, of course, was an overachiever decorating her mask.
Discount Double Check...
Jeremiah had a clever idea for a costume the day of the Ward party, so I did some running around and found what we needed. Basically we stepped up our usual Cheesehead affair. I was Aaron Rodgers and Jeremiah was my crazy fan from the State Farm commercials. No the irony of it being State Farm was not lost on us.

Halloween Fun...
Kylie and Elisabeth at the Stake Youth Halloween Party.
Kylie, Elisabeth, Hayden (yup, that is our Super Chicken costume) Nate, and Alex.
Hanging out at the Harsh's on Halloween!
Minnie Mouse!
Hanging out with Jack Skeleton at the Ward Party. And Kylie and Elisabeth maning the outhouse.
How's that happen...
We were playing Mario Party, Jeremiah thought he had mad skills, did a victory dance that made us all laugh and somehow Sam got his braces stuck on a pillow. Don't ask!
More T...
Storytime with Sam.
Look who stole Elisabeth's blankie.
Go UTES!!!
Grandma gets me ice cream!
Trus loved Lisa's little dogs, Mimi and the other Mimi.
Messy, sticky sucker!
Jeremiah was done with Trus hitting and not taking timeout seriously, so he put him in the corner, it worked really well!
Looking for kitty under "Binda's" bed.
