Little Girl to Pre-teen

After 6 months of promising I finally got Elisabeth's room redone! New paint and a new bedspread made a big difference, so did the amount of stuff she got rid of. She is certainly changing into a teenager, she is says her new room is sophisticated!

The Shower...

Today was Amy's wedding shower, and with a wedding being planned in less then a month, we were all glad to get to today. Things are actually getting close to being done, but life took a right turn today. Amy's Jake (aka "the man") had to be brought to Salt Lake from Moab by Life Flight this morning. He was spending the weekend there with friends and his son Brock, when he experienced severe chest pain. They believe he has blood clots in his lungs and possibly pneumonia, he is in the ICU at IHC now. He's stable and doing okay, and he's young and healthy and anything but whimpy, we are pulling for him and Amy. It's funny how things happen that quickly remind you of what is important!

Don't You Wish You Had A Great Nephew This Cute???

Adrian just keeps getting cutter! He's into animal noises right now and had to take a ride on this rocking horse at Becky's!

Ashlyn and Elisabeth Take Over The Kitchen...

Elisabeth's job for Amy's wedding shower was to make cupcakes, she recruited Ashlyn to help out. They did the whole process by themselves including baking 58 cupcakes, and decorating them! They were a hit and they had a blast playing baker.

For Elisabeth's Perspectives class (smart kids class I call it, you know the kids that do extra credit just for fun) they are having a "city." I have cursed this assignment from the moment I had to man handle a refrigerator box home until I had to drag it back to the school. But the kids are having a good time! Elisabeth is the party planner, and her little shop is called "Party In A Box," she will decorate your box for a party, she sells party supplies and of course cupcakes! Every Thursday night for 3 weeks, and one or two more, she has whipped up Lizzie Anne Cupcakes! The girl is truly and entrepreneur!
Natalie's box is next door to hers and she is an interior decorator, "Big Easy" is on the other side, lol, he's in construction and the garbage man.

A little story from President Monsen...

A young couple, Lisa and John, moved into a new neighborhood. One morning while they were eating breakfast, Lisa looked out the window and watched her next-door neighbor hanging out her wash.

“That laundry’s not clean!” Lisa exclaimed. “Our neighbor doesn’t know how to get clothes clean!”

John looked on but remained silent.

Every time her neighbor would hang her wash to dry, Lisa would make the same comments.

A few weeks later Lisa was surprised to glance out her window and see a nice, clean wash hanging in her neighbor’s yard. She said to her husband, “Look, John—she’s finally learned how to wash correctly! I wonder how she did it.”

John replied, “Well, dear, I have the answer for you. You’ll be interested to know that I got up early this morning and washed our windows!”

Turning Over A New Leaf...

We have had a great start to the new year, thankfully things are looking up from last year. Jeremiah is on a push to become the top agent in Utah for Farm Bureau Financial Services! The kids and I are so proud of him! Let us know if you would like a quote or any other information. (Shameless plug!)

Times Gone By...

Recently Sam had to do a time line of his life for school. He included getting his first Packers jersey and his sister being born and added these pictures. Where has the time gone?
They are still cute in a preteen sorta way but oh man look at those cute babies!

Our #1 Utah Fan...

I hadn't planned on having Elisabeth's picture taken, but since I was volunteering and got a free package I figured what the heck. She loves that she is in her full Utah gear for a school picture, no doubt she is loud and proud!

Happy Birthday Dr. Suess!

Complete with toe socks and Cindyloo Who hair Elisabeth was giddy about celebrating Dr. Suess Birthday today! I must say she is so dang cute! She looks like a sassy teenager posing and with no bangs (it's ballet performance time.)
