Being an Aunt and Uncle...

I must say I love all of my nieces and nephews... 8 girls and 6 boys... ranging from 22 to 9 months. But it was really fun to be the fun auntie and uncle today and take Aynsley to make her first Build-A-Bear! That girl knows what she wants and she definitely took us for more then our kids would have ever got away with! Her kitty's' name is Jana, she has Princess shirt, fluffy skirt and silver high heel sandals! Happy birthday Aynsley!

P.S. She told us first thing that we had the fanciest car she had ever been in, never thought I would here that about our Hyundai! :)

Sam's Legology...

Sam is always making the coolest LEGO creations and he know a ridiculous amount about LEGOS. So when he had to make a blog for Scouts it was easy for him to decide what the subject would be! Check it out samslegology.blogspot.com

And that makes 27!

My parents will be taking the whole ding dang family on a cruise this fall to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary! Amy just got engaged this week, so with the addition of Jake and his son Brock, that makes us up to 27! I hope that's a big ship to handle all of us!

How'd That Happen???

Some how my daughter is now 11 and this year she will join Young Women's! So it was bitter sweet to be taking her to New Beginnings, she is so excited and all but bounced out of her skin that night. The girls and the leaders were so welcoming, Mindy Jessop did a little introduction of Elisabeth from and interview she did. She was so little compared to the other girls, it's hard to believe she will be 12 but she sat with them and chatted for a little bit. Now if I can just keep her happy in Primary for another 7 months!

Tending Adrian...

With the boys off to midnight ice fish, Elisabeth and I got to tend Adrian! He is at such a fun age and totally cracks us up, and he makes himself laugh alot too! Two really cute things that happened was when he got mad and stomped his feet, Elisabeth leaned over looked him in the eye and stomped her own feet... he look at her like "whoa, I don't know what to do with that!" He seemed to really enjoy our big picture window and kept going to look outside, the one time the sun made him sneeze, he laughed at himself and we laughed at him, so he kept going back to the same spot and pretended to sneeze and then laugh! What a cute little guy, I love spending time with him. Elisabeth did really well "babysitting" him, except she didn't do diapers or spit up, so I guess we will keep working on babysitting skills.

Happy Valentine's

Valentine's came and went at our house in a quiet way this year, I am hoping to do better next year. Elisabeth's class was challenged to use things they already had, recycle, to make their Valentine's and boxes. So she used paper and ribbon we had and made cute Valentine's and then we changed the name on "Sam's Love Potion" container and she was good to go!

Playing Just Dance With Joe and Randi...

Elisabeth has been dying to play her wii game "Just Dance" and she has really wanted to play it with Joey... she finally got her wish!

Wrestling with Joe:

Fun Leading Up the Super Bowl

My Aunt CoeLen is always thinking of my kids, so she dropped of these PACKERS donuts from the donut shop. As Sam stuffed his face with fresh chocolate donut he said... "CoeLen loves me!"

Clay Matthews? "Hey mom who do I look like? he he he Take a picture and send it to Randi!
And yes she did where the hat (Sam's) to school!

Elisabeth What Country Are You From?
Since the Friday before the Super Bowl was the end of Multi Cultural week and the kids could dress up, Elisabeth wasn't sure what to do?! So she came up Wisconsin as it's own country, if asked she could answer three questions:
Do they speak there own language? "Ah sure!"
What do the export? CHEESE
What are they famous for? Football!
She had here was all done up hair, face tattoo, bracelets and so on...

A Night of Pranks...
So Elisabeth and her friend Easton have a love hate relationship, if you asked them they would say they hate each other, but really they are good friends. So Easton's family are long time Steeler fans and so let the rivalry begin! The two E's, Big Easy as Miah calls him and Elisabeth often door bell ditch each other, they always have to leave something nice to on the porch. So during the week found a CD with Steelers music on it on our porch and we sent him and email of Packers fight songs... then on Saturday the girls (Jenna and E) made a video of themselves cheering on the Pack, they left it on his porch. Meanwhile they but a sign in our yard that said "Elisabeth loves the Steelers." When she got back from Jenna's that night it was all out war! We went over to "return the sign" and decorate their porch. As we sat down their street at 10:30 at night here comes Big Easy to tell us about the police that had been in their neighborhood that day, here we are with sign and Crete paper in hand and he just walks up and starts talking to us! So we waited a bit and then we decorated their garage door, the front door was open, and stuck their sign now changed into a G in their flower pot.

We didn't really take into account that they have a teenager and so when she came in later apparently she saw our art work! And this is what they did in return:

So at 1:30 in the morning I was out pulling the sign up, because Miah did not want anybody to see that in front of his house. I put the signs up by the house, mistake! At 7am I woke Elisabeth for our retaliation... GREEN and GOLD sidewalk chalk all over in front of their house, who has a hose out in February? So off to church we went only to come home to the signs back up in our yard! This time they went in the garage, and the kids had plans on spelling out LOSERS on their front lawn after the Packer victory... but hey were not poor sports so we let it go!

SUPER BOWL XVL CHAMPION GREEN BAY PACKERS!

I have been asked many times in the weeks since the Super Bowl if we were happy with the out come? Duh! Of course we were! It was so fun to see "our" team win, even after nearly throwing up from the panic in the 3rd and 4th quarter! But in the end victory was clenched by a young man who hails from Utah State, Jarrett Bush. That evening and in the days that followed we watched the highlights many times, we wore our Green and Gold, read the website, watched tv interviews and ordered the Green Bay Gazette. It is a great time to be a PACKERS fan! And one very positive thing about being so loud and proud, nobody can accuse us of jumping on the ban wagon.

Yes, we are a little bit over the top in our support of our team, and over the last few weeks I have given some thought to why. I have decided that football is something Jeremiah and I both love to watch and follow, and our kids enjoy it along with us. And picking one team and going all in is what we do as a family! We aren't big athletes ourselves, we don't boat or have any other big weekend hobbies, but together we can look forward to the new season and the next game and cheer on our boys.
So "Super Bowl XVL Aaron Rodgers, where are you going now?"
"I'm going to Disney World!"

A New Cricut Machine + Packer Super Bowl Mania!

So I guess you could say that we're a little excited!

Look Who I Got To Share My Birthday With!

I shared my Sunday birthday celebration with Jana and Hudson! Elisabeth made us a cake all on her own!

What do you when the big games a blow out?

Who knew the Packers v. Falcons game would be so one sided... so the Johnson girls entertained themselves by first doing the Johnson boys' hair and then braiding Elisabeth's hair. The braids kept her from having to get her hair done all of MLK day weekend!

I LOVE THE GREEN BAY PACKERS!!!
