Sam has given me permission to post an update on his "personal life." He is such a "tween."
So I feel really strongly about "going with your gut as a mom." This holds especially true with my Sam, it took months of insisting at many doctors visits to diagnose a hearing problem, learning troubles and of course his fun case of
giardia. (Really gross in a potty training three year old!) Anyways, Sam is super smart, in a think out of the box/ march to your own drummer sort of way, and a sit in a desk and listen school doesn't always work with this. Especially when your ADD makes you hyper sensitive to things like buzzing lights, kids fidgeting and any other chaos. So this year we have been concerned about Sam's class, he has a super/great young
enthusiastic teacher, but she runs a really casual class, with some really crazy kids. So today we (and the principal) had to make a "go with your gut" decision, it was really hard, but we decided to move his class. Well tonight he told me he was really excited about tomorrow, and hopefully that is sign of a good decision.
Moral of the story... your the mom (and the dad) you know what is best for your kids. Go for it. And never let anything get in your way!
