Our poor Siberian Husky is so hot! We've brushed him enough to make a fur rug, he has a kiddie pool to lay in, his own fan and he sleeps on his back with his legs in the air! When we get home he comes in a lays across the tile floor or right in front of the air vent. This particular day we gave him a bowl full of ice cubes and he didn't even move he just stuck his nose in and started sucking on them. Poor Koda!

Cub Scouts
After 3 months of confusion Sam finally got his Bear award at Cub Scouts tonight! Sam loves Scouts, our church does it by stakes and so that means there are more boys his age. So he gets to hang out with his buddies. Now he is working on his Webelos Activity pins, he got his aquanaut tonight and some belt buckles.
The kids spent the day (all day) swimming with the cousins, and even though I did put sunblock on them, they are sunburnt, it may a long night at our house!

Park City...
This weeks adventure... over nighter in Park City...
Saturday evening we went up to Park City, to spend the night, we went out for pizza, the kids swam and then we watched "Blades of Glory." (really stupid, and it is scary the kind of humor our 10 year old is starting to understand!) We spent Sunday morning at the outlets, school shopping. (Check out our new ticker... 28 days) Can I just tell you I see the future when I take Elisabeth shopping with her daddy! She know what she likes and what she wants and he just doesn't like to tell his princess no. Sorry no pictures, we took the camera, but didn't any real photo opps.

PaRAdE
This morning was the "big parade," which is what my kids call the Days of '47 Parade. This year had an added bonus of daddy actually being home and at the parade with us. Then Lacy & Shelby showed up too! We thought it was really fun to see the float our stake had done, the kids helped one night and I did a couple more, it was fun to see all the hard work come together!

Summer is for Swimming!
Berkley in the Park!
Team Big Head!
Joe and Randi came over for on Sunday for dinner and Disney Monopoly. Check out Joe's hair! The things they teach in hair school these days! J/K they have been "home alone" this week and got creative with their use of time. Anyways, Sam and Joe named their team "Team Big Head" because they both have big noggins. The kids are getting pretty good at Monopoly and have one last couple of times, so daddy was out to win, and he killed us all!
Rodeo
In our quest for a super fun summer we took the kids and their friends to the Days of '47 Rodeo Sam took Josh and Elisabeth took Jenna and besides a little "don't touch me your a girl!" they had a good time. Neither of them had been to a rodeo before and it was fun to see their reaction of a little shock and and of some wonder. It was an excellent rodeo, they had all sorts of top 50 cowboys from all over the country. It was the best/fastest bulldogging I've ever seen and really great saddle broncs and bulls.
Sara Lee was giving free bread away afterwards as a promotion. The kids thought it was so funny, they just kept taking bread (they wanted you too) Josh and Jenna took home 2 each and we had 5 for us and 5 for my sister! What a funny souvenir to take home from the rodeo!

Garth Brooks???
Hey, did you see Garth Brooks at the Western Stampede Rodeo Saturday??? We sat right next to him!!! Really its my brother Chad, we have always said he looks like Garth, especially when he wears his cowboy hat. But the guys from West Valley Dodge got the clowns in on the joke and they really gave him a hard time. He was so embarrassed, they had him stand up and wave and everything, and there were people really falling for it! Anyways, it was a beautiful night at the rodeo, and the kids had a great time! YEE HA!

Got Favre?
Yes, we have heard all the talk... but we are going with his statement in the Biloxi Sun Herald... It is all just a rumor... we are moving forward into the Aaron Rodgers era...
Happy 4th of July!
Anyways, I would like to say how lucky we are to live in this country where we are free, and I am so thankful to all the soldiers, fireman, policeman etc. who do so much to keep us safe!

Surprise Hot Air Balloon Ride!
Last night I got a mysterious call from Miah, telling me to put the kids to bed early, that we would be getting up super early for a surprise!!! None of us would ever have guessed what it was. We had to be in Provo at 6am, for the Freedom Balloon Festival. The crazy part is we weren't there to watch but we got to go up in the balloons!!! Miah and I have always wanted to do this, it was so neat, the kids loved it! I think the pictures tell it all! It was so peaceful 1/2 mile in the air! Thank you Dadddy! We Love You!
