January...

For most families I think January is a slow month but that just never seems to be the case for our family! This year we are grateful that January doesn't include a major life decision like last!

However, Miah did get offered a new job, on Jan. 4th he became the General Sales Manager of Brent Brown new Ford dealership. This means still commuting to Orem, but it means he is back in management where he likes to be! The Brown have been great to us and have been known for taking care of their managers, and hey they've told us to get our passports ready...their house in Cabo is almost done!

Elisabeth has read her way through January, she is on her sixth or seventh book since Christmas and just can't get enough! She is also enjoying Achievement Days!

Sam had his first guitar performance, and did a great job playing "No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problem!" He has quickly found out that the real guitar is nothing like the game Guitar Hero!

As a family we have played a lot of Disney Monopoly and love to have our brother Joe and his girlfriend, Randi, over to play... to bad Miah ALWAYS wins...I think he cheats!

January also brings my birthday, my kids have frequently reminded me that I am now 32! We usually do low key birthdays but this year Miah took me to Brad Paisley in concert, it was awesome! I also got 4 special birthday dinners and lunches! (Yes, that says Go Packers on my Birthday cake!)

Good news in January is that our friend JD, who had major surgery for throat cancer, is doing great!

Sad news, yes, our Packers lost! Ok they didn't even show up to play the Giants. We sulked for a day or two and then said, "there's always next year!" And besides we predict Brett Favre will be back! (He will probably announce in March!)

Lastly... Is anyone else tired of shoveling snow?

FYI

Just in case you didn't know the Packers won last Saturday and will now play for the Conference Championship! And they will thankfully play the Giants at Lambeau, not Dallas in Texas Stadium (where Brett is 0-9) on Sunday! One more win and it's SuperBowl Time!
GO PACK, GO!
(Oh, yea and we are cheering for the Chargers to knock off the Pats!)

Watch This!

I should learn to not let Jeremiah be in charge of outings! On New Years Day he took the kids and the dog sledding again. Watch this video of Sam launching off the sled with Koda pulling him down the hill. Jeremiah got this cool little flip camera for Christmas, so he's taking all sorts of movies!
